There is a vast Cycle Touring Network in the Baix Emporda district which involves a well signposted network of cycling routes. These routes are safe and a large proportion virtually traffic free on farm tracks, river banks, quiet country lanes, safe for all the family. The routes are well signposted with a universal cycle pictograph and in many instances also with the name of the next village and how many kilometres.
Many itineraries can be derived from the network whether you want to discover the rich history and scenic beauty of the area or have a fun trip out with the family. A large proportion of the network is relatively flat with it being the old flood basin of the river Ter and D’Aro so whether you are a mountain bike enthusiast or haven’t ridden a bike in years here you will find a level suitable for all.
